Introducing Hope House
Onward Hope is excited to announce that on October 1, 2020, we are starting a housing program! This program is for young adults between the ages of 18-21 who were in foster care or are currently signed into DCS.

We are excited about the opportunity to provide a safe place to live for the growing population of youth aging out of foster care. We are currently accepting applications for young adults to enroll in our housing program. If you know someone interested, please have them visit our website at www.onwardhope.org/housing.

This is Christopher, he has lived in Phoenix his entire life! Christopher is a 2012 graduate of Westview High School and wants to be a biologist one day. He is a musician who creates his own music and enjoys playing the piano.

Christopher has a passion for people and is a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His service work will be proactive for two years. "My purpose is to serve the community as the Lord Jesus Christ would, I want my works to point back to the Lord's work. I enjoy serving here (Onward Hope) because I believe in our purpose and what we strive to do.”

"We are fortunate to have received Christopher as a volunteer. No matter how technical or physical the volunteer project is, he consistently offers ways to complete the project with more efficiency and effectiveness. I appreciate the ownership he takes over the tasks given!" Wendy Cassavaugh, Community Outreach and Development Coordinator

Did you know?
Individuals who age out of foster care are less likely than the youth in the general population to graduate high school and are less likely to attend or graduate college. By the age of 26, roughly 80 percent of young adults who have aged out of foster care earned at least their high school diploma or GED, compared to 94 percent of young adults in the general population.
