Dominique has been teaching for over a decade at various studios in San Diego County including YMCA, Boys and Girls Club, and assisting Carlsbad High School Dance team's youth program. She has taught Mommy & Me, tumbling, pre- ballet, kids ballet and jazz, kids tap, kids lyrical/contemporary, kids dance camps, High School Musical Production camp, adult hip hop, adult jazz, and adult contemporary. She herself has studied jazz, ballet, tap, hip hop, contemporary, Afro-Cuban, salsa, modern, belly dance, and Tahitian.
 
Her dancing career started at age three with pre- ballet classes. By grade school she had progressed to competing in talent shows and regional jazz dance competitions with her dance studio. By Jr. High, she became serious about ballet and studied very hard to participate in summer intensives with professional dance companies such as ABT, Atlanta Ballet, and San Francisco Ballet. During these years and throughout High School she participated in the annual Nutcracker Ballet. Playing such soloist roles as the Arabian, Snow Queen, and Waltz Fairy. In High School she competed in National Champion Carlsbad High School Dance team. They were undefeated all three years she competed with them in regional and national jazz and Pom (cheer dance) competions. In High School, Dominique also began her teaching career and participated in Drama competitions. During her senior year she was accepted to Lines Ballet summer workshop in San Francisco. Throughout college she continued to teach dance was part of Palomar College Ballet Ensemble and Mira Costa's jazz Ensemble as well as performance's with San Diego dance companies such as PARADE and modern performances in San Diego Such as Trolley Dances. She took a brief break from teaching her students in the U.S when she was given the opportunity to study abroad in Paris for a semester in 2009. There she studied modern and ballet at Centre de Danse du Marais and then again for a three month stay in Toulose south of France last year, where she studied dance at L' Atlier Centre de Danse.  Most recently she has been teaching at Ooh La La Dance Academy and touring with Salsa Susie and other Pro Cosabella members to represent the professional adult talent of Ooh La La. She looks forward to continuing her dancing and teaching career. She has been dancing for over 20 years and hopes to enjoy many more as a performer and dance educator.

So far there has not been any official rehearsals or choreography that has been taught for Wizard of Oz. Initially, it was communicated that rehearsals for main roles would start mid May, but I feel that we need to start immediately after the 2nd Auditions and when all parts have been casted. With summer around the corner, I know many of you leave for Holiday so we are going to start teaching the choreography starting April 6th.  I have personally spent hours cutting & editing the music for Oz and now have completely compiled & finished the 45 minute masterpiece.  It's very exciting!
