At Liquid Trucking Companies, we know how important it is to have comprehensive, affordable health benefits. That’s why we offer competitive plans that can provide protection, peace of mind, and savings.

It’s time for you to consider your 2022-2023 benefits choices. Liquid Trucking Companies conducts an annual open enrollment period during which benefits-eligible employees can enroll in, or make changes to, their benefits. Open enrollment for the 2022 plan year will begin on May 27, 2022, ending on June 10, 2022.

Changes for the 2022-2023 Plan Year

We have many positive changes occurring this year.

  • Livongo – if you (or your family members) have diabetes or hypertension or want help achieving other health goals like managing weight, stress, and more, please take the time to learn more about this program. https://liquidtrucking.com/new-addition-to-healthcare-coverage/
  • Nebraska Medicine and Bellevue Medical Center will now be in-network through a new provider contract being put in place effective 7/1/2022.
  • UNUM products are being replaced with Sun Life products. There is no change in your rates, but Sun Life provides easier online claim filing and many other “employee-friendly” benefits. With this change, we reduce the maximum benefit available on the Voluntary Life/AD&D plan from $300,000 to $130,000, which aligns with the guaranteed issue amount. We are also offering a new Hospital Indemnity plan.
  • Dental premiums are decreasing due to lower-than-expected claims over the previous year.
  • Dependents up to age 26 are now eligible to remain on the dental and vision plans, similar to the health plan.
  • Assistance in enrolling in your benefits during open enrollment (see below).
  • New ID cards will be sent to all employees enrolling in the health plan. Watch for these in the mail!

Your Responsibilities During Open Enrollment

Your 2022-2023 Benefits Guide is now available to help you navigate through the process and make the best choices for you and your family. It’s important to take time to review your current benefits and determine whether they still meet the needs of you and your family or if you are interested in evaluating other options for next year.

We are pleased to announce that we have partnered with benefit education specialists from Employee Family Protection (EFP) to support you during this year’s Open Enrollment. EFP provides one-on-one benefit consultations with licensed benefits counselors to answer any questions you may have and help you enroll in your benefits. Call EFP’s Benefits Service Center to speak with a benefits counselor to learn more about your available benefits and how best to protect your individual and family’s needs.

Get the most out of your enrollment period by coming prepared. You must have available the name, date of birth, and verification documents for all dependents you wish to cover under the health insurance plan. This includes a marriage certificate or birth certificate. It is MANDATORY that you fully complete your enrollment to have benefits coverage for the 2022-2023 plan year. Be sure to call the EFP Benefit Service Center when it is safe to do so to complete your enrollment. Please do not call while you are driving!

All employees must actively enroll in or waive benefits during open enrollment. If you don’t take action, your current benefits will terminate on 6/30/2022.

NOTE: After open enrollment, you cannot make changes to your coverage during the year unless you experience a change in family status, such as:

  • Loss or gain of coverage through your spouse
  • Loss of eligibility of a covered dependent
  • Death of your covered spouse or child
  • Birth or adoption of a child
  • Marriage, divorce, or legal separation
  • Switch from part-time employment to full-time employment

You have 30 days from a change in family status to make changes to your current coverage.
