OLLI in the News!
OLLI members have been interviewed about the benefits of OLLI 2U on TV and radio lately. Watch the KOBI 5 interview with Anne Bellegia and Allan Anderson here. OLLI President Larry Hunter joined representatives from the Maslow Project and the Ashland Coop for an in-depth discussion on Jefferson Public Radio about efforts to meet the needs of the people in the community, when needs are greater and resources are lesser. Zoom Practice Partners Needed

Instructors are preparing to teach via Zoom this year, and would like to hone their skills with live participants, AKA Zoom Practice Partners or ZPPs. ZPPs will have the double benefit of improving your own comfort with taking classes on Zoom, while helping OLLI instructors practice. Do you have 30 to 45 minutes you can spare to help out?

There are three opportunities to be ZPPs this week:
Wednesday, August 26 at 11:00-11:45 AM (Contact Peg Evans at [email protected]),
Friday, August 28 at 10:00-10:30 AM (Contact Linda Jaffe at [email protected]),
and Friday, August 28 at 2:00-2:45 PM (Contact Peg Evans at [email protected]).

If you are interested and available to be a Zoom Practice Partner for any of these sessions, click on the instructor’s email and let the instructor know you’d like to be a ZPP.
The Zoom invitation link for that session will be emailed to you directly by the OLLI instructor.

Questions? Email Nancy Rhodes at [email protected].
Put Your Tech Skills to Work
If you have experience with and are comfortable using Zoom, OLLI's volunteer Member-to-Member Tech Support Team would like to invite you to join their ranks. Tell us which devices and operating systems you are familiar with, and we will match you with members requesting assistance with the same products. The Zoom instructions and tips on page 4 of the Fall Catalog have helped many members get up and running. The Team would like to add a few more volunteers to tutor others via telephone and email on how easy Zoom is to use. Please click here to let us know if you would like to help other members in this way. Thank you!
Member-to-Member Remote Tech Support
Member-to-member tech support is again available thanks to OLLI volunteers. We know many members are learning to connect remotely to take OLLI courses or to meet up with friends and family online while we stay safe and save lives at home. Some of OLLI’s tech savvy members have volunteered to provide some tech support to help members get connected. If you would like help with getting up to speed online, click here to submit a request for tech support. and we will connect you with a Tech Support volunteer.

Please note: While volunteers will offer support to the best of their ability remotely, we cannot guarantee that every issue will be solved successfully. Please keep in mind that this process can require time and patience, too.
You don't have to Zoom to Learn at OLLI
If you are not interested in taking classes that rely on Zoom, or just want to mix it up a little bit, here are four fall term courses you might want to consider. For these classes, participating via Zoom is either optional, or not used at all.

OLLI staff are standing by to provide remote assistance. Email [email protected] or call 541-552-6048 for help with all of your OLLI needs.
