Open House

Porter Mobile.jpg

Learn about and discuss the upcoming changes to Garden Street at a drop-in community open house today (September 22). Stop by the pedestrian plaza at the Garden Street/Concord Avenue intersection any time from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

We don't have any updated information to share since the community meeting on Tuesday, but this is an opportunity talk to city staff and view plans in person.

Fourth Community Meeting

Thank you to everyone who attended the fourth community meeting on Tuesday, September 20. The presentation from the meeting has been posted on the project website and we will post the meeting recording soon.

About the Project

This fall, we're planning to install quick-build separated bicycle lanes and make improvements to existing crosswalks on Garden Street between Huron Avenue and Mason Street.

As part of this project, we plan to convert Garden Street to a one-way for vehicles between Huron Avenue and Concord Avenue. Vehicles will travel eastbound (toward Harvard Square), and there will be one-way separated bicycle lanes on each side of the street.
