Open Houses Update from GRAR
The association continues to receive questions about whether agents should be holding open houses at this time. While the MLS and Association cannot restrict you from holding an open house, we recommend that you have a detailed conversation with your seller about the potential dangers of open houses during this period of social distancing. The Federal Government has asked for public gatherings to be limited to 10 or fewer people. When scheduling showings or open houses please keep this in mind and continue to follow CDC protocols for health and safety. This is for the safety of the entire community, not just those hosting or attending an open house. There is serious concern that many asymptomatic people can be carrying the virus and unknowingly spread it to others who are at higher risk.

GRAR and UNYREIS have several tools in place that can help you continue to conduct business while maintaining social distance. Showing Time can be very helpful to manage showings to allow for sufficient time between showings and avoiding overlap of appointments. Transaction Deck is a great way to manage contracts and addenda without having to be in physical vicinity of others.

If you have other ideas to help stay safe, please share with your peers on the GRAR Facebook Group.

Please remain careful and conscientious as you conduct your business.
