Visit Artists during the

Santa Cruz County Open Studio Tour

I will be welcoming visitors to my art studio at 4924 Cherryvale in Soquel CA beginning this Saturday, October 12 at 11am, and over two weekends: October 12-13 and October 19-20 (11am-5pm.) I hope to see many of you here. All studios on the tour are free to enter, and we Santa Cruz artists are especially pleasant company. (imho)

I've been cleaning my studio (#237 in the tour guide book) and hanging the walls with paintings, many very recently completed. My new paintings from Colorado, Pinnacles National Park, and other travels will be presented for the first time. I'll also show new local plein air and studio paintings - small and large! And my popular Giclée prints of my art will be available.

You will also see (on my easel) a couple of large paintings in progress, and we can talk about my process creating my art. Also, while you're here, be sure to fill out a free raffle entry, a drawing for 3 prizes. One lucky entry will receive top prize, an original Hausman oil painting.

My walls display three groupings overall (click to find these on my website):

w
  • Another grouping, on my north wall, includes Yosemite paintings - mountain scenes from Yosemite Valley and from the high country up near Tioga Pass Road.

  • The third grouping, on my south wall, includes paintings done while Traveling, most of which were made plein air.

Michele, it's easy to find my Studio - 3 miles inland from Capitola, and 2 miles from the freeway. We paved our driveway this summer, and gone are the pot holes, yeah! Richard will have placed green signs along the way to help direct you here. (Click here for a map.)

Here are a few of the paintings which will be available day 1 of this show.

Kings Mountain Art Fair

Thanks to everyone who visited me at the King’s Mountain Art Fair on Labor Day Weekend. We had fantastic weather: clear skies all three days! Down in the Fine Art glen, my booth sits amidst giant redwoods. We had live music from "David Kaufman and Friends", playing upbeat classic rock, jazz, country and other genres.

I am so appreciative that so many of my paintings were adopted to new homes. And thanks to all the volunteers who make this benefit show (for local firefighters and an elementary school) so successful for all the artists.
