Register by June 24. Registration will close when 24 players are registered, or on June 24, whichever occurs first. There will be a wait list in case of cancellations. If you need to cancel, please let us know ASAP so we can contact those on the wait list.

2024 FUN DAY SCRAMBLE

Time: 10:24 to 11:44

Cost: $61 / Age 60 & over - $56

WHY THIS EVENT: Members have requested a scramble format over the past couple years. Plus, we spoke about a goal for this summer: Positive Attitude, Fun on the Course, and Gratitude for Friends. This event checks all the boxes and is a great opportunity for new golfers to play with no pressure, and for new and long-time members to meet and get to know each other.

COMPETITION: This is a non-scoring event. It is designed as a Fun Day for ALL golfers to come and just enjoy the day. Come and enjoy a relaxing day on the course without any pressure. To promote a Positive Focus on the course, holes will have “assignments” meant to remind you to enjoy the day and have an attitude that encourages better golf.

FORMAT: Four-person scramble. When you register, you may indicate one person to play with. Others in the group will be assigned by the event committee. Scramble is played with all 4 golfers teeing off; the best drive is selected. All 4 golfers hit from the best drive spot. All golfers continue to hit from the best shot until the ball is holed.

WHEN: Saturday, June 22. Check-in at 9:30 am; tee times begin at 10:24 am. We will have straight tee times for maximum 40 people. If full field, tee times will run from 10:24 to 11:44.

WHERE: Punderson State Park Golf Course, 11755 Kinsman Road, Newbury, OH 44065 · 440-564-5465 (address is for the State Park: follow the main entrance road and look for sign on right for golf course, if you get to the Lodge, you’ve gone too far).

COST: $61 – Includes 18-holes of golf, cart and prizes (age 60 and over rate is $56)*

FOOD: The course has a full snack bar with sandwiches, hot dogs, etc. You are responsible for your own food.

WARM-UP: The course only has a putting green, no driving range.

DEADLINE: June 11.
