New art in Beechwood North!

Through a collaboration between local artist Agnes Niewiadomski and neighbours, Beechwood North has a stunning new piece of woven art.

This project celebrated the plants and animals that also call Beechwood North home. Agnes used their art to connect the local wildlife to the everyday surroundings around the neighbourhood.

You won't be-leaf this

Leaves are nature’s free fertilizer! When you leave them on your lawn, they break down and feed the soil while giving a winter home to local pollinators. Consider leaving the leaves this season!

Leaf collection is also an option and is underway in neighbourhoods this fall.

Don't forget to help your neighbours who may need assistance clearing their leaves or preparing for winter. You could get nominated as a kind neighbour!

What happened at the Neighbourhood Summit?

Neighbours across Waterloo gathered for the annual Neighbourhood Summit this November to celebrate all things neighbourhoods!

This year's event focused on sustainability in neighbourhoods. Thanks to Anne, Deb, Kae and Suzette for sharing about neighbourhood-led projects in their communities.

Attendees also got the chance to provide feedback on an upcoming Climate Champions program and ideas for new items in the neighbourhood event equipment program.

Stay tuned in this newsletter about future events like this!
