Congratulations to Bach on the Fox!

We’re excited to welcome and celebrate Bach on the Fox, a new Batavia-based nonprofit bringing world-class early music to the Fox River Valley!

Founded by Michaël Hudetz, a Batavia High School alum and Walter Aldrich, both alumni of Northwestern University, Bach on the Fox is creating unique, immersive musical experiences that bring audiences and musicians together. Their performances explore Renaissance, medieval, and Baroque music while making the experience accessible, meaningful, and fun.

Bach on the Fox is building community through connection—with plans to offer educational opportunities for young musicians and create meaningful cultural experiences throughout Batavia, Geneva, St. Charles, and beyond. Their performances in Batavia brought together passionate singers, great food, and an enthusiastic audience for an evening that felt like stepping into another time.

Congratulations to Sturdy Shelter Brewing!

We’re raising a glass to Sturdy Shelter Brewing and their brand-new riverside deck!

We celebrated this beautiful outdoor space with a ribbon cutting, lead by Batavia Chamber President & CEO, Margaret Perreault and Mayor Schielke. Many family members, friends, fans, Batavia Chamber staff and Ambassadors and Batavia MainStreet were in attendance and happy to help cheer on this incredible addition to Sturdy Shelter Brewing.

This project came together with the help and hard work of many local businesses and friends and is is complete with comfortable Adirondack seating, room for up to 40 guests, a dog-friendly atmosphere, and gorgeous Fox River views.

The deck is a perfect extension of Sturdy Shelter’s welcoming taproom and adds another great place to enjoy their incredible beers while taking in the river view.

Come visit this exciting addition to one of Batavia’s favorite gathering places.

The Advancing Innovative Manufacturing Illinois Tax Credit (AIM) is a new tax incentive program designed to accelerate manufacturing projects that integrate cutting edge technologies into their processes. Established in 2025, AIM is designed to strengthen business growth and investment across the state’s top industry sectors. The program supports projects that utilize advanced manufacturing and involve substantial qualified capital improvements. The application is now open for this program and can be found here.
