Tony is a dedicated advocate for Batavia's business community, consistently making a positive impact in his role as a Chamber Ambassador. Whether he's attending ribbon cuttings, participating in Ambassador meetings, or supporting fellow members, Tony's reliability, enthusiasm, and commitment make a meaningful impact on our Chamber and the businesses we serve. Tony represents the Batavia Chamber through his involvement with the Batavia Rotary Club, and we are grateful for the energy and professionalism he brings to the Ambassador team. Last week, we celebrated new business and new chamber member, The Windmill Weekly with a ribbon cutting ceremony, held at the Batavia Chamber office.

Batavia Chamber President & CEO along with Batavia City Administrator, Laura Newman were happy to introduce this special business to the Batavia Community.

Founded by Batavia High School students Bryan Wnek, Ben Manikas and Lexie Kammes,

The Windmill Weekly is a biweekly newspaper created specifically for residents of senior living communities and care centers, featuring local news upcoming events, uplifting stories, student and teacher spotlights, high school sports coverage, business highlights, and interviews with community leaders, helping seniors stay connected to their communities. The Batavia Chamber of Commerce was honored to celebrate a special milestone with a ribbon cutting recognizing Dr. James H. Garvin's 40 years of practicing dentistry in Batavia. For four decades, Dr. Garvin has been dedicated to helping children and adults achieve healthy, beautiful smiles while providing exceptional dental care in a warm and welcoming environment. His practice is built on a commitment to patient education, personalized treatment, and helping every patient feel comfortable and confident throughout their dental journey. The office is located at 101 N. Lincoln Street, Batavia and new patients are welcome!

Nominations are open for the 2026 Donna Dallesasse Award

Can you think of a Chamber member who has made a meaningful difference in your business, our community, or the Chamber itself? Is there someone who comes to mind when you think about business growth, community involvement, and a genuine love for Batavia? This is your opportunity to recognize that person by submitting a nomination.

Nominees must be individual representatives of Chamber member businesses or organizations in good standing. To nominate someone, please submit a letter of recommendation explaining why the individual deserves this honor. Please include examples of their contributions to the Chamber, local businesses, or the Batavia community. Email nominations to Margaret@BataviaChamber.org.

The Nominations Committee will review all submissions and make a recommendation to the Chamber Board of Directors, which will make the final selection. Current members of the Board of Directors and the Nominations Committee are not eligible for nomination.

Save the date for Chamber Cheers where we will recognize the 2026 Donnal Dallesasse Award recipient, celebrate Chamber milestones, and present the Georgene Kauth O'Dwyaer Ambassador of the Year Award. Chamber Cheers will be held on Monday, September 28, 2026 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at Sturdy Shelter Brewing.
