Citing a strong financial position, the board of directors of the Batavia Chamber of Commerce voted to create an enduring legacy in the community.
The Batavia Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the creation of the Batavia Chamber of Commerce Community Enhancement and Endowment Funds.

According to Margaret Perreault, president and CEO of the Batavia Chamber of Commerce, the funds are intended to “enhance the economic viability of Batavia, Illinois, by supporting charitable nonprofit organizations and activities that enrich the quality of life for residents and businesses of Batavia.

The Chamber’s board of directors is delighted to establish the funds through the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley and intends that the monies be used to help nonprofit and business initiatives in this area. The Chamber has pledged $75,000 and in turn, received matching grants of an additional $25,000 from the CFFRV, totaling $100,000 to be dedicated for vetted projects and programs. Read the entire press release.

News and Updates from Our Members

Compounder and materials design firm Techmer PM has gained a key ISO quality certification for its Batavia, Ill., plant.

Techmer PM LLC has added the coveted ISO 13485:2016 certification for medical device and quality management systems at its Batavia, Ill., site. The Clinton-based company has been working on gaining this certification since fall 2021, according to William Reynolds, market manager for healthcare. Read the entire press release.

The BPS101 Board of Education approved placing a $140 million bond issue on the Nov. 8, 2022 ballot at its regular meeting on July 19. If the voters of the District pass this referendum, it will allow the Board to issue school building bonds that coincide with the retirement of its existing debt, generating funding for capital improvements without increasing the bond and interest property tax levy. Read the entire press release.
