In this week’s Did You Know segment, we are exploring the additional programming we offered our members during the pandemic. Since mid-March, many of our efforts shifted toward increased communications, education and being a connection resource for those who need it.

Did you know that:
  • Regular conversations were held, and are still are, with fellow Chambers of Commerce in our area. We pooled our resources to bring impactful educational webinars to our members. Incredibly, we offered 38 different events to our membership from April through June – at no charge.
  • We hosted webinars to help businesses understand the federal, state, and local guidelines for safely operating during a public health crisis. OSHA and CDC guidelines, leadership, managing a remote workforce and financial management topics were covered. Additional webinars focused on legal updates, workers’ compensation, unemployment insurance and Restore Illinois phase guidelines.
  • We hosted two informative Town Halls with Batavia City Administrator Laura Newman when our region was moving into new phases of the Restore Illinois plan.

Watch for more ways we helped next week.
