Happenings in and around the Chamber!
Welcome to Our New Members!

Chamber Associate John Shoaf
Happy Summer!

Summer blew in with a vengeance in the suburbs. We were fortunate here in Batavia that the tornadic activity was just forming over us last night. We certainly welcomed the much-needed rain though.

Join Us at Upcoming Events!

We've embraced the return to eased capacity restrictions with a total return to in-person event. Yes, there are still some educational online opportunities, but for the most part we are excited to see you at our events in person! This Friday is a fantastic opportunity to play some small ball at beautiful Orchard Valley Golf Course. Register to play as a single, or treat customers, vendors, fellow employees or friends to a fun day on the course.

Not a golfer? We have many events, especially networking focused, for you to join. It is time to emerge from your cocoon and get out to meet new people and longtime friends to move your business forward! Scroll down to see what's coming in July.

Mayor's Weekly Update

Here is a link to watch the video recorded on Friday, June 18. He talked about the upcoming Batavia Fireworks show and the need for volunteers. Scroll down to the Member News section to see how you can help.

We continually update our home page, bataviachamber.org when new resources and information comes out. Also, check our calendar for new events from us and the community.

As always, we are now, and will be in the future, here for you.

Most sincerely,

Margaret, Patti and Shirley

Welcome to our newest Chamber Associate, John Shoaf. Like all of our Chamber Associates, he has his own reasons why he'd like to be involved with the Batavia Chamber. For John, he is looking into starting his own company and wants to network and meet other members who can help him along his journey.

Other Chamber Associates are retired from business but still want to be involved in the business world. Others see this membership as a way to assist an organization that concentrates on helping the all-important local business community thrive.

Whatever the reason, we welcome our Chamber Associates as we do any of our our business members. If you know of someone who'd like to be involved in this manner, show them the flyer below and send them our way to learn more!
Introducing...Batavia Boardwalk Shops, Winner of a 2020 Ole Award in the Commercial New Construction Category

We are continuing with our introductions of the award winners honored at the Inspire 2021 event on May 20th.

This week, we are honoring the Batavia Boardwalk Shops, southeast corner of Wilson and River Street, winner of an Ole in commercial new construction. We held a ribbon cutting for them last Friday, June 18. Scroll down for photos and more information about this successful business incubator program. Accepting the award were three individuals instrumental in building and managing the tiny shops and Beth Walker, executive director of Batavia MainStreet. Left to right in the photo above are Bob Hansen, Beth Walker, Jamie Saam, and Dave Brown. The Ole Awards are given to businesses for a significant improvement and investment either for new construction or for remodel in Batavia.
