Happenings in and around the Chamber!
Welcome to Our New Members!

Happy Monday to our members and community,

Can you believe that next weekend is already Memorial Day – the unofficial start of summer? I could use some consistency in warmer temperatures – with less rain, too!

Of course, we are facing a summer that by many measures will be far from “normal.” One by one, our not-to-be-missed events are being altered. Keep your eyes peeled for replacement fun. I have no doubt that we will see our local ingenuity on display this summer as businesses and others create new ways to enjoy our summer. Don’t forget to let us know so we can share!

Many of you have been viewing Mayor Schielke’s weekly videos. You can access the May 15 video by clicking this link . In other news from the City, bulk-item curbside pickup by Advanced Disposal has resumed – stickers required, of course.

A couple of new links you may find useful were posted late last week to our website:

Please scroll down for new events, videos and other content. We hope that you will take the time to fill out our survey soon - the information we collect is important. Also, please join us on Wednesday for some great virtual networking. Find a fun hat, pour yourself your preferred beverage and meet fellow business peeps. Also...if you have news to share – send it to us!

As always, we encourage you to keep checking our home page,, for resources and updates. Also, monitor our calendars for new events from us and the community. Stay safe and healthy!

Most sincerely,

Margaret, Patti and Shirley

Crash My Zoom - 95.9 The River Surprises Chamber Ambassadors
We held a virtual Ambassador meeting during the afternoon of Thursday, May 7. That week, when 95.9 The River announced that their radio hosts were available to "crash" business Zoom meetings, we took them up on it!

We had fun and the Ambassadors in attendance got a nice shout-out the next morning on air, along with some of the various other groups they volunteer with. The Batavia Chamber's Ambassadors are fantastic representatives for us and it was fun to hear them get some on-air kudos! Thank you to all who attended and to Danielle Tufano, Scott Mackay and Nick Jakusz of the River for joining us. To listen to the radio clip of the Crash My Zoom, click here .
