Happy Monday!

We hope that your Mother's Day weekend was a great one. It appears summer weather will greet us this week! Remember your sunscreen...

Batavia's Downtown Shopping District

It was fun to learn that Batavia's Downtown Shopping District received enough votes to earn a title of One of the Best in Kane County Reader's Choice Awards! As our downtown storefronts fill, shopping and dining in downtown Batavia will continue its climb upward.

As a reminder, most of these stores and restaurants accept our Batavia Chamber Bucks. These $10 gift certificates are used like cash and make great gifts. Stop by the Chamber office to pick up yours!

Congratulations to Revelry 675!
The Batavia Chamber of Commerce was excited to celebrate the new event space Revelry 675 with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, May 4. Shuki Moran, owner of Exceptional Events in St. Charles, totally transformed the former Batavia Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1197’s (VFW) “hanger” at 675 S. River Street in Batavia into a sophisticated place for weddings and other events.

Batavia Mayor Jeffery Schielke presided over the celebration, along with Shuki Moran and his employees Maribel Luna and Paul Skaritka and husband Dale Sporrer. The beautiful venue is the result of months of remodeling and takes advantage of its location along the Fox River. According to Mr. Moran, Revelry 675 can host events for up to 300 guests in its 5,000 square foot reception area, plus there is 2,000 square feet of patio and a large lawn that stretches to the Fox River. More information about Revelry 675 is available on its Facebook page,
