Happenings in and around the Chamber!
Happy (Rainy) Monday!

We certainly hope that you were out to enjoy the beautiful fall day on Saturday - before the monsoon started yesterday! The talk of social media last night was the massive thunder around 8 p.m. Wow!

Plenty of Ribbon Cuttings

Last week we participated in four ribbon cuttings. The first, at Brother Chimp Brewing in North Aurora preceded our Net-Working It! event. The next day, we celebrated with three businesses (and Chamber members) who recently moved into the historic Newton House in Batavia, on the northwest corner of Batavia Avenue and Wilson Street. Scroll down to learn more about these businesses and view a few photos!

Congratulations to Brother Chimp Brewing!
The Batavia Chamber of Commerce was excited to celebrate Chamber member Brother Chimp Brewing with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, October 20 at the newly expanded taproom located at 1059 W. Orchard Road in North Aurora.

North Aurora Village President Mark Gaffino presided over the celebration, along with business owner Steve Newman. Among the well-wishers were Steve's wife, Laura, Batavia Mayor Jeffery Schielke, North Aurora trustees and Batavia aldermen Leah Lehman and Nick Cerrone.

Brother Chimp Brewing was founded in 2018 with the aspiration to be your first choice for handcrafted, traditional, small batch beers. The taproom opened in March 2020, only to be immediately shut down because of COVID-19. Steve and his crew have put this tough start behind them and recently expanded allowing for trivia nights, live music and much more.
