City of Batavia Honors the Batavia Chamber of Commerce for Our 70th Anniversary!

We were honored to be presented with a proclamation about our 70th anniversary from Mayor Jeffery Schielke at last week's Batavia city council meeting. Accepting the proclamation are (from left) Margaret Perreault, Chamber president and CEO, Shirley Mott, Chamber communications and membership coordinator, and Chamber board members Jessica McGrail and Brian Knetl.

2023 Winner of the Donna Dallesasse Award

The Batavia Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the 2023 Donna Dallesasse Award winner is Kathy Barkei, a real estate broker with Fox Valley Real Estate, Kathy Barkei team. Kathy has been a Batavia Chamber member for 28 years, originally joining in March 1995 as a realtor with Realty Executives.

Every year, the Batavia Chamber holds a fall celebration to gather community members together to celebrate one Chamber member that has displayed an outstanding commitment and dedication to the Chamber's mission, vision, and values. This member is recognized as the annual Donna Dallesasse Award recipient. Read the entire press release.

Batavia Peace Day Celebration Announces 2023 Schedule of Events

The Batavia Parks Foundation proudly announces the schedule of events for Batavia Peace Day, amplifying efforts of the United Nation’s International Day of Peace on September 21, 2023. A team of enthusiastic volunteers are working alongside the Batavia Parks Foundation to host the second annual Batavia Peace Day celebration presented by the Rotary Club of Batavia. The event coincides with the UN’s annual Day of Peace and is being held at the PEACE Bridge and Riverwalk South Plaza in downtown Batavia from 4:00 pm – 7:30 pm on Thursday, September 21st. Donate Surplus Peppers for the Batavia Community Hot Sauce

The Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry and Gindo’s Spice of Life are collaborating on a Batavia community hot sauce, and we need your peppers! Gindo’s will be collecting peppers September 11-13 (10am-5pm) and will use these peppers to create the first Batavia hot sauce. The proceeds from the sale of the hot sauce will benefit the Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry. Read the entire press release.
