Art Museum, Institute of Science, and Gardens Opening in July
We are pleased to safely welcome you back to Cranbrook Gardens (today, July 1, 2020), and Cranbrook Art Museum and Cranbrook Institute of Science (beginning Wednesday, July 15, 2020).

At our indoor venues, guests will be required to make advance reservations, wear a face mask, practice social distancing, and capacities will be limited.

As a cost-saving measure, campus fountains and water features will not be running at this time.

This new exhibition, featuring artwork from the Art Museum's permanent collection, explores the ability of the artist to redefine themselves, transgress their chosen medium, and transcend the world around them in utterly unique ways. Work by Nick Cave, Maija Grotell, Maya Stovall, and many others will be presented in four galleries.

The Acheson Planetarium will be closed upon the initial reopening phase, and will reopen when it is deemed safe with social distancing guidelines in place. Please keep an eye on the Institute’s website and social channels for updates on the reopening of the planetarium, and other experiences, including exploreLAB, observatory, Discovery Center, Erb Science Family Garden, and Reflections Cafe.

Historic Houses + Live Virtual Campus Tours
Tours of Cranbrook House, Saarinen House, and Frank Lloyd Wright Smith House are postponed until after Labor Day Weekend (at the earliest). In the meantime, we invite you to experience our historic homes and other areas of our 319-acre campus on a live, private tour available virtually.
