March of the Hawks (Formerly the Catholic Schools Walk) UPDATE:
Due to the Brewers' win, sending them to the World Series, and the first game being on Friday, October 23, the March of the Hawks walk has been canceled.
This Fundraiser has NOT been canceled. Students, families, alumni, educators, and St. Gabriel supporters are invited to rally together for our St. Gabriel Catholic Education March of the Hawks fundraiser. Each student's goal is still $125. Find your student's fundraising page HERE. Our school goal is $18,000.

We have been given two Brewers tickets to raffle off for Game 1 from a very generous donor/supporter.
For just $100 per ticket, you could win this once-in-a-lifetime experience!
With only 100 tickets available, your odds are looking good. Don't miss your chance to cheer on the Brewers on baseball's biggest stage!
Get your ticket before they're gone.

We strongly encourage families to attend their scheduled conference during these designated days. If you are unable to attend or choose to decline your scheduled conference, any rescheduled meeting may need to take place during the regular school day, as teachers do not have additional contracted time outside of the school day for make-up conferences. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us make the most of our conference days.

The cold weather is coming! Please make sure your child(ren) have switched their uniform clothes from summer to fall/winter weather items. Please see the link to our dress code for more details.

Sale of St. Hubert’s property UPDATE
In HIS time… After several years and some faith-testing challenges, we are pleased to announce the sale of our St. Hubert’s property! Holy Parking, LLC. (principal, Nancy Manhattan) has purchased the property for $650,000.
As a reminder, $400,000 of the sale proceeds will go to pay off our deferred obligation to the Archdiocese “Love One Another” capital campaign. The remaining proceeds, after brokerage fees, will be used to reduce our debt.
Nancy’s plans for the property will unfold over time, and it is her intent to preserve the church. Our heartfelt appreciation to all involved in making this sale a reality.

Middle School Science:
Our middle school students are exploring the chemical and physical properties of matter through hands-on experiments.
By mixing substances with water, exposing them to oxygen and weak acids, and observing their reactions to heat and fire, students are discovering how different materials behave and change.
Learning is even more exciting when you can see science come to life!

A Big Thank You to the Richfield Fire Department!
Our K4–4th grade students had an exciting visit from the Richfield Fire Department on Thursday, October 8! Our firefighters reviewed important fire safety tips with the students, and the fun continued as the children got to see the big fire truck up close and even hold a fire hose!
We are so grateful to the Richfield Fire Department for taking the time to educate our students and for their dedicated service to our community.
| | |
Spirit Groups:
Our middle school students joined our younger Hawks for a special time of prayer honoring Our Lady of the Rosary last week.
The afternoon began with a meditation on St. Teresa of Ávila from Sitting Like a Saint: Catholic Mindfulness for Kids, followed by praying the Hail Mary together.
Our older Hawks then led by example, praying the Our Father in Spanish for their younger buddies! To finish, students enjoyed coloring Our Lady of the Rosary pages together.
From prayer to coloring, it was a wonderful afternoon of faith, friendship, and joyful learning! What a special way to live our faith and grow together as one St. Gabriel family.
