Congratulations to our Graduates:
Yesterday, our 8th-grade students proudly led their final school Mass at St. Gabriel Catholic Parish School. Following Mass, the students enjoyed a special doughnut reception with Fr. Tim — a wonderful tradition celebrating their leadership, faith, and time at St. Gabriel.
We are so proud of our 8th graders and grateful for the example they set for our younger students. Please continue to keep them in your prayers as they prepare for their next chapter.
The graduation service is tonight at 7 p.m. and will be live-streamed on our YouTube Channel.
| | |
To our graduates: Continue to trust in God’s plan, lead with integrity, and use your gifts to serve others. Remember that you will always be a part of our school family, and we look forward to hearing about all the wonderful things you will achieve.
Congratulations, Class of 2026! May God continue to bless and guide each of you in the years ahead.

Book Fair Coordinators Needed:
Our fabulous book fair coordinators are stepping down this year. We are in need of a group of volunteers to coordinate next year’s book fairs. Our fall book fair will be the week of October 26th, and the spring book fair will be the week of May 10th.
Please consider helping our school with this event. The students love our book fairs, and we would like to continue providing them. The proceeds earned from these fairs help us fund our library program and keep our library filled with the latest and greatest books for our students.
If you are interested, please contact Linda in the school office at (262) 628-1711 or lschuh@sgabriel.org.

Field Day:
Last week we celebrated Field Day! The weather was perfect, and the students had a great time playing tug-o-war, basketball, softball throw, relays, jump ropes, soccer, escape room, and 4-square. They ended the day with movies and pie in the face (a 2026 auction prize package... the fun video is coming soon!)
A special thank you to the 8th-grade students and our wonderful volunteers for helping run all the activities! Thank you also to the families who donated snacks and juice boxes! The kids loved the afternoon treats.

1st Grade:
Learning comes to life at St. Gabriel Catholic Parish School! Veterinarian Dr. Bloss visited our first-grade classroom to share what she does each day caring for animals. Students listened to their hearts with stethoscopes, explored X-rays, and even had the opportunity to hold a bearded dragon!
| | | | | |
Thank you to Dr. Bloss, for giving our students such a fun and hands-on learning experience!
| | |
4th Grade:
Our 4th graders put their math skills to the test during a fun Escape Room challenge. After being “abducted by aliens,” students had to work together to solve multiplication, division, and problem-solving challenges in order to escape the spaceship and return safely to Earth.
We are happy to report that all 4th graders made it back to their classroom safely!
| | The learning continues for our fourth graders, who did a wonderful job creating and presenting their Wisconsin projects to fellow students, parents, and grandparents today. Their hard work, creativity, and presentation skills were on full display as they shared what they learned about our great state. | | | | |
Wonderful job, fourth grade!
| | |
5th Grade:
Father Tim recently visited our 5th-grade classroom to talk about vocations and God’s call in our lives. The students enjoyed learning more about the priesthood, serving others, and listening for God’s plan for each of us.
Thank you, Father Tim, for sharing your faith and inspiring our students!

ST. GABRIEL FALL VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE: A NOTE FROM PEGGY SENGLAUB
I know it seems early to be talking about the fall volleyball season, but the deadline for registration will be here before you know it.
We are looking for all St. Gabriel, St. Boniface, St. Kilian, and St. Peter school and religious education 4th-8th graders who are looking to have fun learning a sport that they can play the rest of their lives!
St. Gabriel belongs to the Metro Volleyball Conference.
Below are the key highlights:
- Girls & Boys 4th-8th-grade team registrations are due to the MVC by July 31.
- Practices can begin on August 10.
- League games (10 matches, some doubleheaders):
- Boys’ games will be held on Friday nights, September 11 – October 30, with games scheduled at 5:30, 6:30, 7:30, or 8:30 p.m.
- Girls’ games will be held on Saturdays, September 12 – October 31, with games scheduled on Saturday mornings, afternoons, or evenings.
-
Invite-only Seton tournament for 8th-grade teams: pool play, Oct 26–30, with the final four held Nov 7-8.
- The volleyball registration fee is $85 per player (checks made payable to St. Gabriel).
-
We are requesting to host games at our school gym, and it will be critical to have volunteers to make that happen. Therefore, each family is strongly encouraged to work in admissions/concessions/scorekeeping for 5 hours. (If you have multiple children playing, we ask that you work 4 hrs/player.) The success of our program — and our ability to continue offering affordable athletics for our students — depends on families generously sharing their time and talents. If your family’s schedule makes volunteering difficult, please let us know. Families are also welcome to make a donation to help support local high school alumni and former athletes who assist with covering game-day responsibilities when additional help is needed. We are grateful for every family’s support, whether through volunteering their time and talents or through financial contributions that help sustain St. Gabriel Athletics.
- Every player will receive a personalized St. Gabriel Hawks warm-up shirt if paid registration is received by June 19.
-
There will be a mandatory parent meeting on Sunday, July 26, at 5:30 p.m. in the school hall for any families that are new to the St. Gabriel volleyball program AND anyone whose registration is incomplete. (At least one coach from each team will be present.)
- Please keep an eye out for details regarding a pre-season volleyball spirit-wear store.
We would love to field as many girls' and boys' volleyball teams as possible for the fall. That being said, and sharing the timeline above, we will need your final RSVP decision by June 19.
Please email me at peggysenglaub@gmail.com if you have any questions.
If you are interested in registering your son or daughter, I will need three things from you:
-
Please click on the registration link: Volleyball league
-
Complete the packet of forms: Arch athletics league forms
- Send forms to St. Gabriel school or the parish office, along with the $85 fee, no later than June 19.
Please note: If you completed the forms for volleyball camp, you do not need to complete those 3 forms again. You WILL, however, need to complete the Parent Sportsmanship and the Athlete Sportsmanship forms, along with the Physical form if it has expired. (Physical examination taken April 1 and thereafter is approved for the following two years of competition; physical examination taken before April 1 is valid only for the remainder of the current school year and the following year.)
Thank you,
Peggy Senglaub, St. Gabriel Volleyball Coordinator
