Around Our School: Learning, Faith, & Joy

Middle School Science:

Our 6th-grade scientists took a closer look at body systems in science last week! They explored how cells work together to form tissues, tissues form organs, and organs work together in organ systems—ultimately creating a complete organism.

After researching their topics, students presented their findings to their classmates, strengthening both their scientific understanding and their communication skills.

We love seeing our students learn, discover, and share what they know!

Holy Hill Field Trip:

This Tuesday at Holy Hill, our students learned that the Church isn't just a building—it begins in the home. The Catholic Church calls the family the “Domestic Church,” the first place where children learn to pray, love, forgive, and grow in faith.

Just as Holy Hill is a sacred place set apart for prayer, our homes can be little sanctuaries where Jesus lives, works, and walks alongside our families each day.

Our students brought home two special reminders: A tissue-paper stained-glass craft and a wooden worry cross. We encouraged the children to hold the cross and pray: “Jesus, I give this worry to You.”

What a beautiful reminder that our children don't have to carry their worries alone—and neither do we.

“Cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you.”

— 1 Peter 5:7

May our homes always be places where faith is lived, prayer is shared, and Christ's love shines.

High School Fair:

Today, our middle school students had a special opportunity to hear from several Milwaukee-area high schools about the many options available to them after St. Gabriel!

A big thank you to representatives from Marquette University High School, Living Word Lutheran High School, Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School, St. Lawrence Seminary High School, Catholic Memorial High School, Divine Savior Holy Angels High School, and Chesterton Academy of Milwaukee for spending time with our students and sharing what makes their schools special.

And what made the day even more meaningful? Seeing some familiar faces! We loved welcoming our St. Gabriel alumni back to campus as they represented their high schools—Junior Oliver and Sophomore Kaiden from Marquette University High School, and Junior Sophia, Sophomores Kendal, and Chase from Kettle Moraine High School.

Once a Hawk, always a Hawk! We are so proud to see our alumni continuing to Shine Bright and Show the Way in their high school communities!
