- Fever
- Chills
- Cough
- Sore throat
- Runny or stuffy nose

From the Business Office:
We emailed the January tuition statements to families on Wednesday, February 18. We have 1 correction to announce that the subject line of this e-mail incorrectly states that the attached statement was ASLP statements for Tax Purposes. When in fact this statement was for the January-February 18 tuition activity. We apologize for any inconvenience.
The January ASLP Statements will be emailed today, February 19.
Private School Tuition Deduction
State law allows Wisconsin parents to deduct private school tuition on their taxes. Under the program, parents statewide can deduct up to $4,000 per student in grades K-8, and up to $10,000 per high school student. It’s important to remember that this is a tax deduction, not a tax credit.
Please click HERE for the packet includes instructions on how to claim the deduction; answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ); and the most recent Schedule PS Form. To download the Wisconsin Department of Revenue Schedule PS form, please click HERE.

DI:
The DI students recently embraced creativity and collaboration during the February Destination Imagination® challenge, Flying Feather.
Working in teams, students were given just ten minutes to design and construct the tallest possible structure using a limited set of materials: aluminum foil, marshmallows, pipe cleaners, toothpicks, masking tape, popsicle sticks, paper straws, and one feather. The objective was twofold: build a structure tall enough to hold the feather at the top, and then successfully blow the feather off so it would travel as far as possible.
The room quickly filled with focused energy as students tested ideas, adjusted designs, and encouraged one another. Every team relied on strong communication, problem-solving, and innovative thinking to meet the challenge within the time limit.
Flying Feather was more than a fun engineering activity—it was a hands-on opportunity for students to strengthen teamwork and creative thinking skills while putting their imaginations into action.

Spirit Groups Lent and Aleluia:
On Monday, our Spirit Groups gathered to prepare their hearts for Lent. Led by our 8th graders, students worked together in their Spirit Group passports, reflecting on the journey ahead.
As Pilgrims of Hope, we begin a sacred path—walking with Jesus into the desert and, in time, walking to Emmaus with the Risen Christ. Throughout this season, He accompanies us, inviting each student into a deeper encounter with Him.
During the Lenten portion of their pilgrimage, our students will embrace the practices of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving—not as ends in themselves, but as meaningful ways to live more fully in Christ.
We are grateful for the leadership of our 8th graders and the faith-filled example they set for our younger Hawks. Together, we journey in hope toward the promise of the Resurrection.
| | |
Tuesday afternoon, all of the students gathered in the gym to bury the Alleluia.
Stay tuned to see what happens to their Alleluias after Easter.

S.A.C. Update - NEED FEEDBACK
At the recent SAC meeting, the topic of whether the student birthdays should be listed on the school's online Google calendar was raised. We value your input and want to ensure our practices reflect the wishes of our families.
The original purpose of including birthdays was threefold: to celebrate each child as a valued member of our school community and highlight the strong sense of community that defines St. Gabriel Catholic Parish School, and to provide a helpful resource for parents.
The calendar can serve as a convenient reference if a child forgets a classmate’s birthday, assisting families in planning celebrations and coordinating schedules.
To ensure we move forward in a way that best serves our school community, we invite you to participate in a brief parent poll regarding whether student birthdays should continue to be included on the school calendar.
Your feedback is important, and we appreciate your thoughtful participation. Please vote below.

VBS at St. Gabriel!
Our VSB will be in the morning, the week of June 22-26, from 9 to 11:30 a.m.
Through worship and drama, Bible study, art projects, and active games, children learn that there are many opportunities and ways to live as peacemakers. Passport to Peace invites children to see every person as part of God’s family, and every interaction as an opportunity for peacemaking.
In a world that is too often divided by race, class, ethnicity, and country of origin, Passport to Peace is a reminder that the love of God and the way of peace transcend all borders and divisions. All are welcome in the family of God. Led by God’s Spirit, we can all participate in creating a more peaceful world.
Open to all school and parish incoming K5 - 5th-grade students.
Wear comfortable clothes and bring a snack.
Led by Mrs. Erdmann and Mrs. Kohls, and Mrs. Rosenberg from our parish formation program.
