AMERICAN CAMP ASSOCIATION, NEW YORK & NEW JERSEY The American Camp Association, NY & NJ is the benchmark for standards and practices in the camp industry. This is achieved through camp accreditation, camper placement assistance, and professional development opportunities. ACA, NY & NJ works closely with their diverse community of member camps and accredited camps to provide healthy, safe, and engaging experiences for all children at camp. When SCOPE began in 1991, we were established as a program of the American Camp Association, NY section. Under the guidance of ACA leadership and it's many camp supporters, the SCOPE program grew and expanded to become our own 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization in 2005. As an eligibility requirement for nonprofit camps to become a SCOPE partner camp, each camp must be accredited by the ACA. We are grateful to ACA, NY & NJ for all they have done to help these nonprofit camps maintain industry standards and practices. The American Camp Association, NY & NJ is dedicated to preserving, promoting, and enhancing the quality of the summer camp experience and we applaud and thank them for their hard work and contributions to the camp community as a whole! SCOPE ASSOCIATE BOARD JULIAN ACKER SCOPE Associate Board Member A Timber Lake Camp alumnus, Julian Acker truly values the camp and educational opportunities he’s been fortunate to have access to and strives to communicate SCOPE’s mission with his various networks in order to provide overnight summer camp access for the children SCOPE serves. As the SCOPE Associate Board Finance Co-Chair, Julian provides the framework for this group of young professionals to reach their individual and collective fundraising goals for SCOPE. He’s made many creative contributions, by running March Madness and Super Bowl pools for many years and was part of the winning team at the first-ever Olympics event in 2016. In Julian's personal connection to SCOPE, he’s been very committed to long-term charitable giving in support of SCOPE as a part of his family’s foundation and providing his own children with access to similar camp experiences at Coleman Country Day Camp.  We are super impressed and in awe how Julian Acker continues to engage friends and family to help support SCOPE!

Summer Camps at College Settlement, Pennsylvania SCOPE Northeast Summer Camps at College Settlement deliver a unique camp experience to young people concentrated in the greater Philadelphia area, regardless of economic circumstances. Their programs foster personal growth and provide a safe, affordable, and nurturing place for young people to enjoy the outdoors while learning about themselves, others and the environment. College Settlement’s beautiful 235-acre campus is home to 5- or 12-day overnight camp sessions, providing children a fantastic, educational summer camp experience. They also offer a Teen Adventure Program sessions for teens who would like to try rafting, biking, climbing and hiking.
