SCOPE BOARD OF DIRECTORS JEFF SKIER SCOPE Board Member A highly-engaged member of the SCOPE community, Jeff Skier sets the bar high when it comes to SCOPE support. As an alumnus of Trail's End Camp, Jeff knows the lasting impact camp offers. As a long-time board member, Jeff has made many contributions; currently serving as the Governance Committee Chair, helping to recruit and engage other camp-passionate professionals into the SCOPE fold. We are grateful for Jeff’s dedication and expertise on our board of directors. Jeff has also been a part of many SCOPE event committees over the years, helping to create spaces for new and current donors to come together in support of SCOPE’s mission. Just this past year he’s done his part by way of our first-ever Virtual SCOPE Benefit in April and the SCOPE Golf Tournament last month where we reunited in-person after too much time apart. As the son of one of SCOPE's original board members and founders, Henry Skier, Jeff has continued his family’s commitment to SCOPE as well as paving the way for the next generation. This year we honored Henry and AMSkier Insurance for their decades of contributions to making camp safe and accessible for all children, both professionally and in the SCOPE realm. Last year we were thrilled to have Jeff's daughter Annie virtually assist the SCOPE team with website updates and organization of camper thank you notes. The Skier family’s philanthropic legacy continues! Jeff continues to make a difference as a SCOPE leader and supporter; we are beyond grateful for his long-term dedication to SCOPE and the children we serve -- THANK YOU Jeff!

DANA LAXER SCOPE Associate Board Member As a Camp Taconic head counselor, Dana Laxer helps to plan and coordinate the camp’s Leadership in Training (LIT) program for 16-year-old Camp Taconic campers. This means she’s played a pivotal role over the years to help the teens gain a deeper awareness for SCOPE and spearhead Taconic’s annual Strides4SCOPE Walk-a-thon. After a year without camp, the teens returned and decided to transform this summer's walk-a-thon into a color run, helping to raise $47,000 which will provide 36 SCOPE camperships next summer! As a SCOPE Associate Board Member and SCOPE Junior Leadership Council (JLC) facilitator, Dana is a conduit for all things Taconic when it comes to SCOPE support throughout the year. She’s engaged the Taconic community to gather for gives back events like Taconic Friendsgiving for SCOPE and Kicks4Camp Kickball Tournament. As a JLC facilitator and mentor, Dana helps to plan and run the monthly Zoom meetings where philanthropic, like-minded teens connect, learn what efforts other teens across the country are doing in support of SCOPE, and strategize how to bring SCOPE into their home, school, and camp communities.
