Counting down to opener

Beautiful blue and green have returned to the Great White North! With warmer days on the way, we look forward to your return.

We anticipate another great season of fishing and look forward to seeing returning friends and meeting new anglers.

Here are a few items of interest as you prepare for your trip.
Be sure your passport is valid. A passport due to expire within 6 months of your trip may cause some concern with border officials. Check the date of expiry. We posted information and links for renewal (USA) on our blog.

If you are travelling with a minor be aware u nless the child is accompanied by both parents, the child must have a notarized letter from the other parent or signed by both parents stating "I acknowledge that my son/daughter is travelling outside the country with (name of Adult) with my permission"

Poultry products from all States but Indiana are now permissible over the border.  We hope this last State poultry ban will be lifted soon.  Potatoes in store bought packing, not bulk, are allowed.

Forest fires are forefront in our minds as an enormous wildfire caused the evacuation of 88 ,000 residents and devastation in Fort McMurray, Alberta.  Even though it is over 1000 miles away from us, our thoughts and prayers are with those affected.

A fire ban is currently in effect for our area as well. We are in dire need of rain and must practise extreme caution in the forest.
We no longer sell angling licences in our office. You may purchase them online or at local bait shops. Have you Outdoors Card handy when renewing the card or buying the tags for this season.
Don't hesitate to call or email should you have any questions prior to your trip.
