The Opening Doors campaign has three key components:
The construction of a new, 8,500 square foot facility to house Salisbury Academy’s early education programming with the exciting addition of a new, 3-year-old program that will open during the 2023-2024 school year. This new building will also be home to the Jaguar Connection Center with a mission of connecting our community through wellness, learning resources, and support services.
The founding of a Salisbury Academy high school designed to engage with community partners and carry out the school mission of inspiring a love of learning and preparing passionate leaders. Salisbury Academy has entered into conversations and is exploring potential partnerships with local public and private education institutions. Through these partnerships, students could have opportunities to participate in college level coursework, athletics, and extra-curricular programs.
Financial sustainability through a reliable approach to improving and advancing the school over time. As a careful steward of gifts and facilities that the school has been given in the past, Salisbury Academy will build for the future through Opening Doors.
Salisbury Academy is pleased with the engagement level in their high school and early education task forces and has already begun the intensive work of fine-tuning plans for the new facility, said Beverly Fowler, head of school for Salisbury Academy.
“The campaign name, ‘Opening Doors,’ speaks to the outcomes we are seeking and the abundant potential for connection and growth,” said Fowler. “We’re excited to take this opportunity to do what we do best, to innovate in education and engage with our community to meet the needs of area children and families.”
