Operation Walk 2022 Events
Dear Operation Walk supporters,

Please mark your calendars for our 2022 events in support of Operation Walk Los Angeles. We hope to continue Dr. Lawrence's Dorr legacy in 2022, 2023, and many more years to come.
Call for Operation Walk Angels
Every year, we are blessed to welcome new Angels and to count on the continued support of our Founding and long-time Angels. The Operation Walk Angels are a group of women who, through philanthropy, help provide the gift of mobility to individuals in desperate need of life-transforming surgeries, primarily in developing countries.

We ask that you please consider becoming an Angel in 2022. Angel membership is a $1,000.00 donation that ensures our team will be able to travel with our cargo and with the necessary supplies for our patients to recover successfully. Every patient who receives the gift of mobility is able to return the favor by becoming productive and healthy members of their communities.

All Angels have the opportunity to receive real-time updates about patients during our medical missions. You will learn the story of your patient and the impact that joint replacement surgery has in their quality of life. This year, we will be returning to Hospital Fructuoso Rodriguez in Cuba and to Hospital Obras del Santo Hermano Pedro in Guatemala.

Please help us continue our mission, by becoming a new Angel or renewing your Angel membership today. All donations received between January 1st - May 31st will be allocated to the 2022 Angels fund and will ensure that you receive an invitation to our annual Angels' Luncheon. This year, our Angels' Luncheon will be held on Wednesday, May 11th at Annandale Golf Club in Pasadena. We have an exciting guest speaker lined up, among other surprises. You can follow us on our social media pages below for more updates in the coming months.

Thank you for your support! To become an Angel or to renew your membership, please click the link below or call Alejandra Castillo at: (424) 558-8076. All 2022 Angels will receive an invitation to the Angels' Luncheon.
Operation Walk Los Angeles Contributes to OR Renovation
At the end of 2021, our friends at Hospital Obras del Santo Hermano Pedro in Guatemala put out a call for donations to renovate their Operating Room facilities. Their OR welcomes dozens of medical brigades year-round from all over the world, including many Operation Walk teams. The renovation of their OR facilities would ensure that free-of-cost and life-changing surgeries can continue at their hospital for many more years to come.

We are grateful to have been able to contribute to this effort, by donating $10,000.00 toward the purchase of a brand new autoclave for their central sterile processing. This is a key piece of equipment in all of our missions, and we are happy about the long-term impact this renovation will have for the hospital and the people in Antigua and surrounding communities.

We cannot wait for our trip there in August of 2022, and are more than excited to see the new Operating Rooms!

January 2022 Pre-trip to Cuba
Our team leaders conducted a preliminary trip to Hospital Ortopedico Fructuoso Rodriguez in Havana this month. They met with hospital administrators and host surgeon Dr. Roberto Balmaseda to ensure the success of our mission and the prompt transportation of our cargo. Operation Walk leaders conduct these preliminary trips before every Operation Walk mission. We are excited to return to Havana in March of 2022 with our medical team. We have been traveling to Cuba since 1997 and are grateful to be able to continue our humanitarian and educational projects there.
