, AHCCCS as well as Mercy Care, are implementing new standards and reporting requirements for all Opioid Treatment Programs (OTPs) receiving Medicaid reimbursement. These new standards and reporting requirements are in addition to all State or Federal licensing and registrations requirements.
Mercy Care would like to emphasize that existing OTP sites are required to comply with the Opioid Treatment Program - Annual Requirements and provide all of the plans listed below to AHCCCS no later than
For existing OTP sites, the
November 15, 2019
submission will serve as the first annual report to be updated yearly each November. The Opioid Treatment Program - Annual Requirements include the following required plans from OTPs:
- Security Plan
- Neighborhood Engagement Plan
- Comprehensive Patient Care Plan
- Community Relations and education plan
- Diversion Control Plan
AHCCCS will review the submitted plans and make a determination on the sufficiency of the documentation. If AHCCCS determines there is a deficiency in any of the submitted documentation, the OTP will be provided thirty (30) days to correct the deficiency.
