LOCAL CALLS/COMPETITIONS
Arts Council Greater Lansing announces a call to artist members for its annual "Art in the Sky Billboard Program." This juried digital billboard project for 2020/2021 is now open. Six artists' works will be selected and featured on Adams Outdoor Advertising digital billboards in and around the Greater Lansing region beginning in December and throughout next year. Application deadline is Oct. 19, 2020. Learn more.
MICA Gallery announces a call to artists for its 2020 juried "MICA Gallery Holiday Show." Michigan-based artists, working in all mediums, are welcome to submit fine art pieces that are priced at or below $250. MICA Gallery seeks to bring the works of local artists under the tree this year, with an array of Michigan-made fine art pieces. Application deadline is Nov. 1, 2020. Learn more.
City of East Lansing announces a call to artists for the 58th annual East Lansing Art Festival (ELAF) taking place on May 22-23, 2021. With room for 200 artists and $6,000 in artist awards, there’s no better place to share your art. The ELAF is a juried show. All artists will be required to jury into the festival. MICHIGAN CALLS
Northville Art House seeks entries for its juried collage art exhibition, "Shear Madness" being held Jan. 13-Feb. 6, 2021. Cash awards of $650 for 1st-4th Place and Honorable Mention. Artists, 18 and over, may submit a maximum of three original collage works of art composed by arranging and gluing or otherwise affixing pieces of paper, fabric, photographs or other mixed media to a surface. Application deadline is Nov. 22, 2021. Learn more.
Charlevoix Circle of Arts seeks entries for its juried art exhibition, "re|ART" to be held on Feb. 1-27, 2021. Cash awards will be given. Open to all Michigan visual artists working in all mediums, including 2-D, 3-D, functional art, fine craft, photography and installation. Application deadline is Jan. 10, 2021. Learn more.

Colors of Humanity Art Gallery seeks entries for an online art exhibition, "Animals." The exhibit will be held on Nov. 1-30, 2020. Exhibition juror is Janelle Cogan, and the theme is "animal - any living thing that is not a plant." It can be expressed in many ways, and the gallery seeks unique interpretations. Application deadline is Oct. 15, 2020. Learn more.
SlowArt Productions announces "Emerging Artists" the 29th annual competition for gallery exhibition and publication awards. This exhibition is devoted to the discovery, introduction and promotion of emerging artists. It will be held March 4-27, 2021, at the Limner Gallery and is open to all artists working in any medium.
