Opportunities for the Works of Mercy for spring and summer
St. Emily and St. Thomas Becket Parishes
May 6, 2019
Mercy continues even when the weather is good

There is a temptation, as the weather warms and outside pursuits beckon, to think that we can take a vacation from everything.

Actually spring and summer are a good time to pay attention to the works of mercy, as in any season of the year.

You can find ideas on these lists for things to do in your everyday life.
Here are some organized group events for you to take part in:
  • We would love to have you volunteer at Vacation Bible School.  It is great fun and a good leadership opportunity.  You can register to volunteer here.

  • Totus Tuus is a new program we are offering this summer. You can volunteer to help with the younger children during the day, as well as participate in the older kids version in the evening.  See David Mika for more details.

  • The Produce Mobile will be at St. Emily's on August 8.  Sign up to help here.

  • There will be another trip to Feed My Starving Children on August 17. Sign up here.
Besides these special events,  look for other opportunities to help in your family, your school and your neighborhood . Also,  the spiritual works of mercy   are just things that might happen in the course of a day.
