New Jersey Heritage Fellowship Grant Program Rules and Instructions Now Available!

The New Jersey State Council on the Arts will award up to ten New Jersey Heritage Fellowships to exemplary folk and traditional artists. These Fellowships, which come with an award of $20,000 each, recognize lifetime achievement, artistic excellence, and contributions to our state's living traditional arts heritage.

The New Jersey Symphony is calling on New Jersey-based composers of all backgrounds, ages and ability levels to submit their own solo piano arrangement of the Korean folk song “Arirang,” for a chance to be performed by pianist Min Kwon on the Symphony’s Lunar New Year Celebration on January 25, 2025.

Meridian International Center and the United States Department of State’s International Expositions Unit are seeking U.S. Cultural Performers and Expert Speakers to perform and/or speak at the USA Pavilion at Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan. The New Jersey State Council on the Arts is hosting quarterly teaching artist community of practice meetings. These virtual sessions serve as a platform for teaching artists to share their experiences, discuss new opportunities, and connect with each other and the State Arts Council. Through loosely moderated discussions, the sessions provide an opportunity to network with other New Jersey teaching artists, share challenges and successes of working in the state, and discuss what teaching artistry could look like as we move into the future.
