Can you help?
Wesley House Community Center is in need of assistance and asking for food and monetary donations to help purchase food. Monetary donations should be mailed directly to Wesley House at 1719 Reynolds Street, Knoxville, 37921 and food donations can be dropped at their office between the hours of 8:30 AM - 5 PM Monday-Friday.

NOTE FROM KARA FINGER, Executive Director of Wesley House
We have been able to deliver food to all of the seniors. They are SO appreciative and thankful! We’ve had over ten families come and get food bags already. They are equally grateful. I’m currently working with Second Harvest to get food at a cheaper price. It will be Wednesday or Thursday before that food is ready. Here is a list of needs currently:

  • Milk
  • Juice
  • Peanut butter
  • Almond milk or soy milk
  • Jelly
  • Eggs
  • Butter
  • Canned veggies any variety
  • Bread
  • Cereal
  • Rice
  • Canned meats (tuna, Vienna, potted meat)

Our goal is to send bags weekly to our grannies until the suggested quarantine is over. We want to send weekly bags of food to families as long as school is out. I’ll send everyone an update with the food from Second Harvest as soon as I hear back from them.

THANK YOU for allowing us to serve our people so well.
Pastoral Care
March 16 – 20 is spring break for Knox County Schools. Pastor Martha will be gone March 13-21 and Pastor Chuck will be out of town March 16-20. Revs. Richard Edwards and Don Thomas will be available for urgent pastoral care needs. If you have an urgent need during that time, please call the church office, 865-966-8430, or email Randee Schoenike, [email protected] , and she will route your concern appropriately to either Don or Richard.
