Sharing the love of Jesus by welcoming, connecting, and serving.
Serving the Homeless
FFUMC would like to feed 500 of the homeless and hungry in partnership with CareCuts. CareCuts, located downtown, began giving fee haircuts then evolved into much more. All volunteers, including the local churches who serve the homeless and others, they have been providing the least of these much-needed help during the pandemic including food, personal sized clothing and shoes, toiletries, bathrooms, and showers.

They have asked for our help this coming Sunday, September 20th. We will be preparing 1,080 scrambled eggs, 500 large sausage patties, 500 large biscuits, 25 gallons of sausage gravy, 30 gallons of coffee, and hopefully 100 lbs. of tater tots. Care Cuts requires two Knoxville police officers to maintain proper social distancing and ask that we pay for their services. How can you help? First, we will need approximately $500.00 more than we have in the missions’ budget. If you decide to help, please note on the check “Care Cuts Breakfast.”

Several FFUMC members have committed to cooking Saturday afternoon 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and Sunday 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM. Please note there can be no more than 10 people in the kitchen so 5 to 6 people at once is the goal. If you would like to serve downtown, we could certainly use 8 to 9 helpers. Finally, if we can have 3 to 4 members willing to clean from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM that would be appreciated.

This is truly a blessing to our brothers and sisters in need. To witness their heartfelt gratitude or to hear of it from others, is the true blessing. If you would like to volunteer your time or money, please contact Randee 865-966-8430 (M-Th 9 AM to 2 PM) or after Thursday at 2 PM

Prayer Course Online
It’s not too late to join the eight week prayer course journey on the “First Farragut Church Online” Facebook group. Each week we’ll post a video, discussion questions, and additional resources. Think of the First Farragut Church Online group as a place where we can stay connected with each other, study and fellowship together, and keep up with what’s going on in the life of the church. If you haven’t already joined this group, you’re invited to do so here
Exciting Opportunity to serve!
Would you like to get involved in a ministry that is truly life-changing (yours, as well as those you'd be serving)? Our Senior Mobile Meals Ministry is in need of new leadership. We are thankful and appreciate all those who are a part of this important ministry. Kerri White, our current leader and faithful servant of this ministry, is stepping down. Click here for a detailed description of what this entails, and then prayerfully consider if this great need is one that you are able to meet.

If you have additional question, please contact Stephen Richardson or Alvin Jenkins.
Baby Furniture and Supplies Needed
At our August 1 Mobile Pantry, we met a young woman who is expecting a baby in December. Because of a family crisis, the family of seven has lost most of their belongings and needs baby furniture and equipment for the expected baby. If you have items that you can donate (crib, playpen, changing table, swing, high chair, etc.) please contact Laura Derr at
