Spiritual Gifts Assessment

On September 27, Pastor Drew preached on Spiritual Gifts as seen in Romans 12. As part of the sermon, our congregation was encouraged to discern our spiritual gifts through taking the Spiritual Gifts Assessment provided by the United Methodist Church. Then, after identifying our strongest gifts, explore where those gifts may be best utilized in and beyond the walls of our church.

Click the link below to take the survey and reach out to Drew if you would like assistance in discerning where your gift meets needs in our community!

FISH Pantry Stocking Needs Volunteers in October

FFUMC has supported the West Knox FISH Pantry ministry for over 20 years. This October we are responsible for restocking the pantry. Several opportunities are available for you to participate in this important ministry to our community, and it’s always a great time of fun, fellowship, and service!

We are filling grocery bags at the pantry in the month of October. This activity requires 13-15 people on Sundays, October 4, October 11, and October 18. We usually start bagging around 1:00 pm and finish within a couple of hours. We would appreciate your help on any of these days (or more than one, if you’re so inclined). This is a great opportunity for children and their families to serve together! The West Knox Pantry is located at 934 N. Weisgarber Rd., at the Church of the Savior.

Please sign-up at the Welcome Desk, or contact Kathy Cleveland at keacleveland@icloud.com.

The Sunday Circle

Worship happens in rows. Growth happens in circles.

Join us after worship for The Sunday Circle in the Community Room, a casual gathering where the conversation continues. Together we'll take a deeper look at Sunday's message, ask honest questions, share different perspectives, and discover practical ways to live out God's Word. There's no homework, no pressure, and no long-term commitment - just grab a cup of coffee, pull up a chair, and join the conversation whenever you can. We'd love to have you join the circle!

Christmas Community Day Toy & Book Drive

In the month of October, we will be accepting donations of toys ($15-20) that will be given to each child who attends Christmas Community Day. Beginning Oct. 4, please stop by our table in the lobby to grab a gift tag, or you can leave a donation and we will shop for you! We are also in need of new or gently used medium to large Christmas gift bags.

Each child also gets to choose books to take home, and we are also accepting donations of books for those of all ages. We would also be happy to accept McKay Book Store credits!

All donations can be placed in the Missions collection area. To donate financially, you can either give online by clicking here (select "Christmas Community Day" in the drop-down list) or by cash/check noting "CCD" in the memo. Thank you for your generosity.

Caring Congregations

Do you want to make sure everyone in our church community feels connected, cared for, and part of the church, especially when they are unable to be present on Sunday morning? The Caring Congregations workshop hosted by Fountain City UMC on November 6-7 is the perfect place to prepare to join a new care team at our church. If interested, contact Pastor Drew by October 11.

All Saints Sunday

We are preparing to honor the members and closely connected friends of First Farragut UMC who have passed away since October 1, 2025. Please provide an image, date of birth, and date of death in an email to Pastor Drew (dmccallie@ffumc.org) by October 25.
