The EA-Avatar Study

We are recruiting young adults ages 18-29 for the EA-Avatar Think Aloud Study.

Our research team has recently developed a new digital health platform to help young adults with alcohol use problems and suicidal thoughts.

We are looking for volunteers who are 18-29, who have struggled with alcohol use or suicidal thoughts, and have visited an emergency room since turning 18. We are asking young adults to participate in an interview on Zoom to provide their opinions on the intervention out loud and in an online survey as part of a paid research study.

If you have any questions, please contact Nancy Hu, Clinical Research Coordinator III, at nancy.hu@umassmed.edu

The How Do YOU Do Community? Study

We are conducting a research study to better understand how young adults with mental health conditions, especially those who have been marginalized, define and experience community participation since COVID-19.

Your unique story is important! It can add to knowledge and understanding, which can lead to improvements in policies, systems, and supports for young adults who have been marginalized.

We are looking for Young Adults with mental health conditions who identify as BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and/or with experience in the justice or child welfare systems.

If you have any questions, please contact Mei Pearlstein, Research Coordinator I, at mei.pearlstein@umassmed.edu.
