LUTHER'S LINK TO ROCHESTER GROWS STRONGER
Luther's Rochester Semester program provides students of all majors an opportunity to study and work in Rochester, Minnesota. With the college’s extensive alumni pool in the city, students have access to extraordinary learning opportunities catered to their interests and passions. The experiences are helping students discern career paths, acquire job-related experience, and facilitate career networking. Rochester Semester participants also enroll in two Rochester-based courses taught by Luther College faculty.

Gehling recently completed an internship with the Rochester Center for Children where she gained valuable experience helping children with behavioral and cognitive disabilities.

MICHAEL MUSA '23 ADDRESSES COVID-19 VACCINE HESITANCY
Musa worked with community organizations to address COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy among minority groups in Rochester.

RATANAK UDDAM '23 WORKS WITH DESTINATION MEDICAL CENTER
Uddam worked to find companies interested in moving or expanding into Rochester to assist in the city’s growth and decrease anticipated job shortages in the coming years.

DECORAH HAPPY HOUR
Alumni in the Decorah area are invited to a Luther Happy Hour at Pulpit Rock Brewery Thurs., September 8, from 5:30 – 7 p.m. Speakers will be Decorah's new school superintendent, Tim Cronin '90, and college president Jenifer Ward. Decorah happy hours are held on a quarterly basis and provide a great opportunity to connect with other Luther alumni in the Oneota Valley. Thanks to Matt Rebro '94, and his employer, Russell, for sponsoring the September event. No reservation necessary; just show up!

Family Weekend is September 23–25. There are a number of campus activities Sat., September 24, including a noon volleyball match against Carroll University, a 1 p.m. football game versus Buena Vista, and women and men's soccer versus the University of Dubuque at 5 p.m and 7:30 p.m. Concert Band and Jazz Orchestra will perform at 12:30 p.m., and Aurora, Collegiate Chorale, Cathedral, Norskkor choirs, along with the Symphonic Band, will perform at 7 p.m.

Fans are invited to a Fall Community Day picnic held on the Regents Center circle drive from 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m on Sat., September 24. Co-sponsored by Decorah Bank and Trust, all are welcome, but registration is required. Kids can pick up a free Game Pass "TRUE. BLUE. NORSE." T-shirt, which allows free admission to all regular season Norse athletic events this year.

Earlier on Saturday, at 8 a.m., there will be a Family Weekend 5k Fun Run/Walk on the Luther cross country course—one of the best and most scenic college courses in the region. Participation is free, with refreshments and prizes provided. Leashed pets welcome! Register to walk or run individually or with your family.

You are welcome to join us 10:30–10:50 a.m. every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, regardless of your faith tradition!
