All hands on deck for Fresno For Parks!
Signature gathering volunteers needed on Thursday, May 3, 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Did you know that the San Joaquin River Parkway would receive an estimated $750,000 per year for operations and maintenance and capital improvements through the Fresno for Parks coalition's 3/8 of a cent Fresno city-wide sales tax initiative "Fresno for Clean and Safe Neighborhood Parks"? YOU can help make sure this initiative gets put on the city of Fresno ballot this November by helping to gather signatures. We need to get as many signatures as possible from registered voters in the city of Fresno in the next three weeks.

Join the River Parkway Trust in partnership with the Fresno Arts Council to help gather signatures for the  Fresno for Parks  initiative on Thursday, May 3rd  from  5 pm to 8 pm  during  ArtHop.  Volunteers will be stationed at different ArtHop locations in the Tower District and downtown Fresno. ** Note: You do not have to live in the city of Fresno to volunteer
River Center Docent Orientation and Training Friday, May 4 - 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm
River Center Docents play a key role in operating the River Center for public enjoyment on weekends.

As a River Center Docent, you'll have the opportunity to volunteer in the restored 1890s Ranch House or in the River Store gift shop. You'll enjoy meeting new people and introducing the community to the resources found at the River Center and throughout the San Joaquin River Parkway.

We're recruiting volunteers to join the team of River Center Docents and you could be a perfect fit.

Join Ellen Hemink, River Parkway Trust Docent Coordinator for an introductory River Center Docent training in the Ranch House this Friday. You'll learn about the history of Riverview Ranch and about how the River Center Docent program works.

After you attend the River Center Docent orientation, you'll have the opportunity to shadow experienced docents and you'll enjoy on the job training.
