OPPORTUNITY ZONES
Final Opportunity Zone (OZ) Regulations were released in December 2019 by the Treasury Department and are expected to provide the clarity needed to unlock the OZ investment marketplace and generate increased project activity.

Key Changes include:
Utilizing Enhanced Infrastructure Financing Districts (EIFDs)
Cities and Counties can leverage OZs when OZs are placed within EIFDs.

EIFD Tax Increment meets tax exclusion from OZ = power of doubling down... which can help communities attract OZ investors.

More OZ Investor Activity
Novogradac estimates $7.57B of equity raised and $68.75B of community development investment capacity in 513 tracked funds.
