- Hear from leading experts, such as a Harvard educational researcher, a professional artist, an art therapist, and veteran educators in interactive plenaries and workshops.

- Explore artmaking as a creative outlet for even “non-artsy” students and teachers alike!
- Connect with museum educators in your region for ongoing professional development and collaboration opportunities.
The National Gallery of Art has partnered with six museums in the Western U.S. region – the Nevada Museum of Art, in Reno, NV, the Anchorage Museum in Anchorage, AK, the Boise Art Museum in Boise, ID, and the Denver Art Museum in Denver, CO, the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art, in Salt Lake City, UT, and the Whatcom Museum, in Bellingham, WA – to host a Regional Mini-Institute for Educators at the Nevada Museum of Art in Reno, Nevada. Ten educators from each state, along with the museum professionals from the host art museums will attend the Regional Mini-Institute for Educators.
Be sure to apply for the Western U.S. Mini-Institute by June 30th to participate! Selections will be made by the Boise Art Museum. If you are selected to participate, you will be notified by July 16th.
