Dear LTHS Community,

At Lyons Township High School, we are proud of our strong traditions and our commitment to continuous improvement. As we begin the 2026–27 school year, we are excited to launch a new community-engaged strategic planning process that will help shape the future of our district. 

As education continues to evolve and the needs of students, families, and our community change, this process will help ensure LT is well-positioned to prepare students for success over the next five years and beyond while building on the strengths that have long defined our district.

Our current Strategic Plan, adopted in 2022, concludes at the end of the 2026–27 school year. Together, our students, staff, families, and community have accomplished a great deal over the past five years, and we look forward to building on that success as we develop a shared vision for the future.

We invite you to be part of this important work by serving on LT's Strategic Plan Team. Team members will participate in two virtual meetings and three in-person workshops:

As a member of the Strategic Plan Team, you will review district data, identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities, help define our core values and priorities, and contribute to a draft strategic plan that will be presented to the District 204 Board of Education. This collaborative process will bring together students, staff, parents, alumni, business and municipal leaders, and community members to help shape the future of LT.

If you are interested in serving on the Strategic Plan Team, please complete this Google Form by Friday, August 14, 2026. Team members will be selected during the week of August 17 with the goal of ensuring broad representation from across the LT community.

Even if you are not selected for the Strategic Plan Team, there will be additional opportunities throughout the semester to provide input via surveys. Additionally, all three in-person workshops will be held as open board meetings in accordance with the Illinois Open Meetings Act, and community members are welcome to attend as observers.
