Hello Optimist,
And hello to all of you District Marketing Chairs and District Leaders! Greetings from your international Marketing Department.
We have some exciting news for you! Over the course of the last month, we developed several new promotional packages for your use.
First, to increase attendance at our International Convention, we developed a video along with a set of flyers/ads. This package is being sent to all District Convention Ambassadors for their use, but we also wanted to share it with our District leaders and Marketing Chairs. Our goal this year is 2,000 plus Convention attendees. To do this, we need everyone's help.
Our second marketing package highlights “Optimists in Action” month, which occurs in May. We have created a set of flyers/ads to help you promote this event to the Clubs in your District. Let’s really promote this event and make this “Optimists in Action” month the best ever!
Next, we have graphics to help promote our new Member recruitment incentives. Beginning April 1, 2023, the Member from each Region who recruits the most new Members between April 1 and June 30 will receive a $100 gift card. The winners' names will also be placed in a drawing for free registration to the International Convention in Arlington, Virginia. A second-place winner from each Region will receive a $75 gift card and be entered into a drawing for a ticket to the President’s Banquet at the Convention, while a third-place winner from each Region will receive a $50 gift card and be entered into a drawing for a ticket to the Heritage Brunch.
Last but not least, we are working with the Junior Golf Committee and staff to increase awareness and participation in this premier program. We have developed a series of promotional materials, and after they are reviewed by the Junior Golf Committee, you will be able to download them from the International website. Did you know that the more participation we get from our Clubs and Districts, the more impact this program has in helping us attract sponsorships and the Optimist brand worldwide?
We hope these promotional materials will be of help to you. However, we need your feedback. Let us know what you think about them and what other things we can do for you and your District to help promote Optimism.
Did you know you can get direct marketing assistance for your Club and District? All you have to do is fill out a marketing request form. Use this form to let the marketing department know the type of branding or marketing assistance you need, and we will do our best to help you with your request. We prefer all requests to come through or from the District Marketing Chairs.
Please be aware that Optimist International does not currently have any marketing/promotional funds available. However, we do have some mighty talented marketing and design professionals that will assist you on a case-by-case basis.
Just remember, you are part of the Optimist International marketing team. Together, we can help our Districts and Clubs tell the Optimist story and continue to expand our brand.
