The Optimist International Tournament of Champions is a top-ranked junior golf championship for previous participants of Optimist Junior Golf events and other top junior golfers. This tournament will be a 36-hole event for male and female junior golfers ages 11-18. The Tournament of Champions will take place November 1-2, 2025 at Mission Inn Resort and Club in Howey-In-The-Hills, FL.
The Tournament of Champions will include approximately 140 junior golfers from throughout North America and other countries. Golfers will compete in either the Boys 11-13, 14-15, 16-18 and Girls 11-13 and 14-18 age divisions. The Optimist International Tournament of Champions is nationally ranked by the Junior Golf Scoreboard and Golfweek and is included in the AJGA Performance Based Entry process.
Exempt golfers will be guaranteed a spot in the Tournament of Champions playing field (unless you have aged out) provided you submit an application by September 15th.
TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS EXEMPTIONS
Category 1 (Exempt)
Golfers who fit into category #1 are EXEMPT.
2025 Optimist International Junior Golf Championship
Top 30 (+ties) Boys 12-13, 14-15, 16-18 and Girls 13-14 and 15-18 age divisions.
Top 25 (+ties) Boys 10-11 and Girls 10-12 age divisions.
2024 Tournament of Champions
Boys 16-18 (top 15+ties), Boys 14-15 (top 15+ties), Boys 11-13 (top 15)
Girls 14-18 (top 15+ties), Girls 11-13 (top 6)
Golfers playing in the Optimist Tournaments and receiving a qualifying spot based on the number of spots that were allotted to that specific tournament of any District Tournament. Golfers must meet the following Qualifying Score
- All Past Optimist Champions
- 2025 Hugh Cranford All-Scholastic Team
- Included in the top 300 overall Junior Golf Scoreboard or Golfweek rankings.
Category 2
Priority consideration will be given to golfers who fit into one the following categories:
All golfers who have played in any Optimist tournament. Golfers must meet the following Qualifying Score
Category 3
Golfers who do not fit into one of the categories above are encouraged to apply and we will consider your application on a case-by-case and space-available basis.
