Patient Windsurfs Standing for the First Time

You may remember Optimus' patient Gary from our newsletter late last year in 2019. After falling from a ladder which resulted in an amputation in 2018, Gary has spent the last two years focusing on being thankful for all he has been given, and not allowing his amputation to keep him from doing the things he loves... even if it meant windsurfing on his knees. However, one of this goals at the end of 2019 was to get a water leg so that he could finally windsurf standing up. It turns out 2020 was his year! Gary's waterleg was delivered this summer and he was able to finally get back to windsurfing, but this time standing on both legs. What a difference a year can make!
