Here is a quick overview of Oracle-related initiatives. Tap the text links to learn more:

  • Oracle Guided Learning launched Aug. 31 for self-service procurement. The contextual knowledge tool provides helpful tips and instructions within the system.
  • Internally funded projects in project portfolio management have moved to the general ledger, streamlining transactions for numerous users while maintaining the rigorous accountability required for externally funded projects.
  • Oracle Reboot Camp sessions have given users an opportunity to interact in person with DFA staff and to receive training on creating reports in the system.
  • A Vacation Period rule allows users to assign a delegate for approvals for a specified period of time. The rule eliminates the need to submit a special request.
  • The Oracle Data Integrity Project has cleaned up much of the incorrect or incomplete data from Fiscal Year 2021-22. Starting with FY23, DFA is conducting a weekly review to reconcile accounting ledgers.
  • An update helps ensure that project requisitions that need POET attributes have the necessary information for processing.
