This last Sunday we were encouraged by a guest speaker who has served with our team previously in East Asia. We will be sending our team out again to Nepal at the end of March and our guest speaker showcased the story training they will be using overseas by walking us through John 1:1-18. The main point behind this passage was, "The One responsible for creation, of all the world and mankind, has chosen to become one of the creation in order to explain to man His Father, the God of Creation." From that key point, the speaker asked a series of questions to help us engage with the text. We can apply these same questions ourselves to any passage of scripture. As we are taking March to fast and set aside distractions, consider using these questions and walk through the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5-7. (Due to the sensitivity of our guest speaker's mission work in East Asia, we cannot use his name or post the audio recording of the sermon on our website.)
You'll find a fasting resource here; and the referenced questions from Sunday are linked at the bottom of this page.
This month of fasting is a great opportunity to pray over and complete our 2023 partnership form.
