Promotions
Fabio Bottecchia
Event Utilities Technician IV
Event Utilities
Fabio is celebrating his 20th work anniversary with the OCCC this year. When he first started in 2002, he served as a Technician III. In 2018, he was promoted to Customer Service Liaison with Event Utilities. His latest promotion earned him the title of Event Utilities Technician IV. Fabio now performs and leads technical trade crews on electrical, plumbing, gas and water. He also performs advanced troubleshooting and diagnosing difficult electrical and plumbing problems. Fabio was born in Italy, and speaks three languages.
Raven Daniel
Event Set Up Worker
Event Set Up
Raven first joined the Event Set Up team in May 2012, as an On-Call Senior Service Maintenance Worker. He celebrated 10 years with the OCCC with a promotion to Event Set Up Worker. In this role, Raven performs a variety of set up and tear down requirements in exhibit hall and meetings rooms, and works under tight deadlines to ensure the success of client events. Raven also assists in accurately interpreting and carrying out detailed specifications in written and diagram form.
Clarence McIntosh

Clarence became a part of the Exhibitor Services team as an On-Call Exhibitor Services Representative in August 2021. This past month, Clarence was promoted to a full-time position with the Event Set Up team, as an Event Set Up Worker. He will assist with verifying show readiness of all room sets for completeness, accuracy, cleanliness and safety, along with a variety of other job responsibilities.

Stacy Giron

Event Management
Stacy Giron is a senior at the UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Event Management. She was born and raised in Bilbao, Spain and lived in Miami for 9 years. Now, she is happy to be in Orange County to pursue her academic and professional endeavors. She has been expanding her hospitality horizons as part of Orlando’s collegiate chapter of Meeting Professionals International – MPI Knights at UCF. She is excited to gain more knowledge and expand her experience in the hospitality industry during her year with the OCCC. 
Nicholas Jambe
Intern
Event Management
Nicholas Jambe is a senior at the UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management and serving as an Event Management Intern at the OCCC. Throughout his internship with Center, he will be pursuing dual Bachelor’s degrees in Event Management and Hospitality Management, while also earning a certificate in managing sporting events. He is passionate about conventions, especially MEGACON Orlando, and is excited to further develop himself within the events and hospitality industry while interning with the OCCC. 
Michael Johnson
Project Manager
Capital Planning
Michael brings more than 20 years of professional project management and leadership experience to the OCCC. In his previous role as a Project Manager with Hennepin County, Minnesota, he was responsible for overseeing all phases of multi-million dollar CIP construction projects. In this new role, he will manage the activities of OCCC construction projects, to include coordinating with end users, as well as ​planning, developing, implementing and ensuring successful completion of projects within scope and budget.  ​Michael is a retired Major Sergeant from the United States Air Force.
Chris Katsares
Assistant Director of Sales
Sales 
Chris has more than 20 years of combined sales and catering experience throughout the convention, hotel and casino industries. In this new role with the OCCC, he will work with the Senior Director of Sales to develop sales strategies that create new business opportunities. Chris will also assume the daily operations and oversight of the Sales Division. His history with Orange County Government begins before the turn of the millennium, as he worked at the Parks and Recreation Division from 1998 to 1999. A fun fact about Chris is that he was born and raised in Ohio, went to Ohio State University and is, of course, a huge fan of the Buckeyes.
Darrin King
Sales Manager
Sales 
Darrin brings 28 years of hospitality and tourism experience to the OCCC. He has previously worked for Norwegian Cruise Lines, InterContinental Hotels Group and as a general manager for several area hotels. Darrin has his Bachelor’s degree in Tourism and Recreation from Montclair State University, and is also an alumnus of the Walt Disney World College Program. Darrin enjoys traveling to unique places around the world and recently went on safari in Tanzania for the Great Migration of the Serengeti.
Faisal Tearo
Intern
Event Management
Faisal Tearo is a senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Event Management at the UCF Rosen College of Hospitality. He is currently interning with the Event Management team at the OCCC. His first experience with event operations was with UCF Athletics, where he worked with Knights of Hospitality helping to organize game day amenities in the Black and Gold Cabanas. He is also a Deans’ Ambassador with the Rosen College Leadership Council, a role in which he engages students in the campus environment. He is passionate about the Orlando events and entertainment industry and is excited to learn more from his internship opportunity at the OCCC.
Managers and Supervisors are encouraged to complete the New Employee Form during on-boarding of new employees. The Marketing and Communications Team will assist with the scheduling of employee head shots.
