Birthworkers of Color Collective (BWOCC) is a national organization dedicated to advancing reproductive justice and improving perinatal health outcomes for Black, Indigenous, and people of Color. Grounded in culturally responsive care, BWOCC works to ensure that families are supported, seen, and empowered throughout pregnancy and postpartum.



BWOCC offers a range of impactful programs, including comprehensive doula training to grow a diverse and skilled workforce. We create direct connections Medi-Cal doulas eliminating barriers for families to access no-cost, culturally aligned support. We have hybrid postpartum wellness groups and lactation support clinics that provide both in-person and virtual spaces for families to receive education, care, and community during the critical postpartum period.

In addition, BWOCC is committed to strengthening the future of care through mentorship opportunities for aspiring birthworkers, increasing representation and equity within the field. Beyond direct services, the organization actively engages in advocacy and builds partnerships with healthcare providers and institutions to integrate culturally relevant perinatal care into systems of support.

Designed with both families and providers in mind, it features dedicated sections to make finding trusted, local support easier than ever.
