Full STEAM Ahead for Students
Third through fifth graders in Moreland Hills School's 225 Gifted Program explored Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STEAM) while applying real-world problem-solving skills during the annual day-long STEAM Carnival held recently at Kent State University. The day's sessions included fashion design, robotics, product design, creative writing, math chef, a texting and driving simulation, and research on sodium polyacrylate .
Brady Student Selected to Speak at TEDxKentState
Congratulations to Brady Middle School sixth grader Krish Mehra who will speak at the TEDxKentState event on February 18, 2017. He is the only presenter under 18 years old accepted to this TEDx Talk which includes 20 inspiring speakers discussing its theme of “Rewind, Rethink, React.” 

In his speech, he will share the importance of children learning to computer program to fuel the next wave of innovation.

OHS Mock Trial Advances Three Teams to Regionals
The 10 OHS Mock Trial Teams set out to move mountains as they recently began the 2017 tournament season with the District Competition at the Justice Center in Downtown Cleveland. All OHS teams were named after mountains/mountain ranges this year as they held court against 22 other teams. Congratulations and best of luck Teams Everest, Fuji, and Olympus Mons who all advanced to next month's Regional Competition.
