Spotlight Dinner and Auction November 16th
We are ready for you to get involved with our largest fundraiser of the year. Ticket sales are open, donation forms and ideas are ready, and we need volunteers. More information on all things Spotlight HERE

Chinook Book Fundraiser
Fundraise for your student account by selling Chinook Books now until September 30th. Update: you can return unsold books.

Annual Fees are due 
All programs are $155.00. This fee covers any day field trip costs, uniform rental and cleaning, sheet music and other directors needs. Currently, only about 1/2 of families have paid. Please support the program with your payment.   Payment Link If you need a scholarship please fill out  this form   and return to school by October 4th.

Choir and Orchestra tuxes are ready for students to take home. They are located in the choir room. Most band tuxes are ready to be taken home by students. They are in the hallway outside the uniform room. 
Be sure to read the instructions and try them on when you get home. You do not want to have to make emergency changes to your tux at the time of a performance.

There are some used tux shirts available for purchase for $10. If you need the cuff link and stud set, it is $5. Stop by the uniform room morning before 1st period to try one on.

Concert Choir + Advanced Chorale New York Trip: April 7th-12th, 2020
The cost for each person from Concert Choir and Advanced Chorale is approximately $1800.
The payment schedule is:
  • 1st payment due Oct 2 — $450
  • 2nd payment due Nov 20 — $450
  • 3rd payment due Jan 7, 2020 — $450
  • Final payment due Feb 7 —TBD
NYC Chaperones: We are looking for chaperones. The cost for chaperones is $1,400. If you are interested please contact Felicia Johnson .
Orchestra Camp is Friday. Please be sure all your  forms  and  payments  are in.

Radium Girls Synopsis:  Set i n 1926, Radium Girls  follows the efforts of Grace Fryer, a watch dial painter, as she fights for her day in court.

Seattle Jazz Ed - Girls Jazz Day -  Sunday, September 29th,- 9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Cornish College of the Arts Educator Kelly Clingan has assembled ten of the best women educators she knows to teach you TEN MINI-MASTERCLASSES on topics ranging from Ear Training to Sight Reading to Cartoon Music. Gary Hammon: “In case you didn’t know ” November 3 rd , 7:30 p.m. at the Langston Hughes Performing Arts Institute. With storytelling and originals, the saxophonist and Ballard High jazz educator evokes growing up in the Central District in the 1960's and 1970's as a black musician before heading to New Your for a storied career.
